I don’t agree with everything Trump does. On Ukraine, I don’t think he is on the right side of history as one example. But DOGE is a good thing. Ripping the administrative state wide open to look at the working innards should be done from time to time and it does not make a lot of sense if it’s not done ruthlessly. DOGE won’t find the money to wipe out America’s debt but it will take a piece out and show the American people that the grifting and scamming are being seriously cut back. It also has another purpose. Draining funds from funny causes and drains funds from the backers of those causes and those are often found on Wall Street. The Financial sector needs serious pruning too.
