A U.S.-China ‘phase one’ trade deal may not be inked this year
There are more frequent reports about growing dissension inside China’s leadership. The princelings under Xi seem to smell a chance for the top job or some other advantage. No wonder, on top of all those economic problems going supercritical, plus all those regions like Xinjiang and Hongkong in turmoil, and those permanent reports on concentration camps in China the biggest customer China has goes gangbusters on them. Xi’s job was to handle the US president. This worked well under the last 3 ones but the current ones does not behave as predictably. Trump is many leaders Kryptonite.
