Academic Echo Chambers and the Myth of Behavioral Spillover in Climate Action

I hold a Master’s in Tax, Business, and Contract Law. I am part of the academic world but I am also part of the non-academic world. In my family, I was the first to hold an academic degree and I also learned an artisanal profession the old way in Austria. Did my apprenticeship, and worked my years to move up. This anchoring in the non-academic world saved me from its hubris. Academics are much more likely to fall for all kinds of stupid theories and narratives because they have been exposed far longer to the institutionalized equalizer without anchoring on the real world I have enjoyed. We need more common sense and thats not to be found in academia.
