Every historian of any repute can tell you that there have been climatic shifts during recorded history. The Medieval Warm Period is one of the best known but there was a climate optimum during the Roman Empire and the heyday of the Minoan civilization. What’s immediately clear is that every time it gets warmer, humans thrive and live longer, much healthier lives. And so does every single lifeform. And when Cold Periods set in and developed their impact, misery, and death came with it every single time. The modern warm period is the coldest on record. And it’s getting colder already so it turns out to be the shortest as well. If the cold was so bad, why are humans living in the temperate zones and not in polar regions?
