And why would they not go for the one thing that helped us all to get propelled from basic subsistence living to societies where everyone has a decent life if ever one chooses to have that. It’s not the only thing needed for getting thee but without stable energy, it will be absolutely impossible. Wind and solar energy, even if it was paid for by the rich world, would actually be a massive disservice to those countries as it would nice them to forego the one thing capable of lifting them up. Green energy choices are a crap-sandwich for anyone.

Ultimately, Africans deserve the same level of energy access and security that the rest of the world takes for granted. The number of people left behind is simply too large to allow foreign agendas…

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
