A knife is a tool you can use to cook your dinner or to murder someone. A car is a tool you can use to get your children to their sports practice or to drive into masses of people to commit acts of terror. A watch is a tool to know when your interview for a new job is or to produce a bomb that will blow up a building full of innocents. It’s not the tools that are doing the deed. Its people using the tools and the results will be accordingly. AI is just such a tool. In the hands of people with good intentions, it will be of invaluable help. In the hands of maniacs and frauds, it will be a sledgehammer with which truth will be crushed.
