April 2021 did a lot to pull many from the silent majority over. I had quite a number of conversations with people that are usually leaning towards the alarmist view of the world. But April put a lot of doubt into those people. When before they wanted to convince themselves that the world is indeed coming to an end because of generalized roasting, they now ask questions. And they listen. There is no alternative to reality. It always does its job.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances. He figured that Africa would be the only place where this would be a realistic prospect for long term uncommitted supplies of LNG.
