Arctic-Superpower Jostling Heats Up as Russia Takes on Key Role
Oh boy, there will be a lot of egg on a lot of faces when those folks find out that the current thaw is already over and that it gets colder now. Exploration for anything in the Arctic might have gotten temporarily easier and hence cheaper. But it’s still the arctic and in a way, it’s easier to work on permanently frozen ground than on the morass that comes out every summer now and freezes up in winters. Want resources? In terms of energy – I think shale is cheaper.
