As Gas Prices Sag, Nigeria Plans to Pump More to Global Markets
Nigeria imports a lot of diesel fuel. It costs the country a pretty penny – money it could save by using their own LNG for fuelling the myriads of gensets. This would reduce diesel pollution massively (anyone who has breathed the air in Lagos or Abuja knows that this is important) and it would save money. The price LNG fetches on the international market is much lower than the price for imported diesel. Building a truck loading station would be a start and a very small investment.
