So very often I have thought that we can stop some madness before it is too late and come back to sanity. And so very often I kept being disappointed as it never really happened. Things do change when something really appalling happens. There must be great damage and many people must get truly hurt. It will happen and I strongly advocate doing nothing to bring that about. Alarmists will do that. All we can do is prepare on a personal level for what is about to happen. And be ready to pick up the pieces after it happened. Trump was a liberation for me – he liberated me from unfounded hopes. What must happen, must happen.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
