BBC’s Bogus Antarctic Heatwave Scare
Not only Antarctica is cooling. In a sense, what happens in Antarctica might be important for the climate but it’s as real to an average person as a tectonic shift on Mars. We need to fire up our neocortex to realize what’s happening. But something much closer to us is the general cooling we have seen for the last 3 years. Since 2018, every successive summer has been a bit cooler than the last one. Before 2019, we had in excess of 40°C for weeks on end in Vienna. Last summer the hottest we ever got was 37°C. And we can feel it.
