Biden under pressure over cheap Chinese solar
Much of the renewable world thrives on the premise that they are finally cheap. But are they really? There is a reason why those things are mainly being produced in China. It’s not because China applies magic making them cheaper. It’s because they exploit labor that does not cost much. You are free to imagine why. Very lax or non-existent environmental regulations are the other part. There is a price to pay. Either we do it in cash, or we do it in destruction.
