Bill Gates faces “daunting” nuclear energy future
I like the concept of a small scale reactor. I like those Thorium reactors. I am generally a fan of nuclear energy. But I am not enough of an expert to be able to make a qualitative statement on the potential of those technologies and/or the issues on the way. But one thing is certain – if nuclear cannot pick up the pieces from wind a solar (and it will have to if we are to avoid disaster) we need something else. And methane will be there to jump in as its clean, safe, reliable, economical and ready to use now.
The optimism usually radiating from billionaire Bill Gates when it comes to climate change is starting to fade on one of his biggest technology bets: nuclear power.
