Bill payers to fund £60bn Net Zero overhaul of National Grid

As if the prices for energy in the UK are not way beyond what average people can afford. The British problem is that they don’t have any credible opposition party they can rally behind at the next election that would get them reliably out of this mess. So what will have to happen – and what will happen – are challenges from inside the mainstream parties. When the Tories have been clobbered as can be expected at the next voting round, there will be internal soul searching. not that I expect a White knight to emerge. The last one was a frog so this might take time. Brits are used to suffering.
