There is nothing I love more than running out in the morning after snowfall in the night to clean the solar panels. Some exercise in the cold coupled with gymnastics on a ladder sure give me the jiggles. Solar energy in a not-sunny country is too bad. I once saw a biogas plant running on grass. Very inefficient and wasteful. But when subsidies cover your shortfalls, I guess everything is possible. Winter weather is when most energy is needed, and it’s when RE fails miserably. I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
