It was a combination of things like zero interest, copious subsidy programs, and free services such as grid balancing that made completely insane ideas such as offshore wind possible. As it turns out they needed the orchestra of all of them and some more to function. If only one of them does not deliver anymore they crash into the rocks. Does anyone even comprehend how far from anything like a marketable price for their electricity we are? They are far, far more expensive than anything we had so far. But still claim to be the cheapest. Wind, solar, battery vehicles, and hydrogen are as dead as a doorknob. They just don’t know it yet.
