It’s not like the UK has other – real – problems to take care of. Like the COVID crisis that has shot the entire economy down which will result in a drastically lower tax take in the future plus much bigger demands on welfare systems. I understand, Boris is a full-blown politician and as such he cannot resist the urge to project virtue while spending other people’s money. He also thinks that he knows it better than all the rest of us. But his term in office is still young and reserves are mostly up.
