BP stock falls behind Shell as investors shy away from green energy

Welcome to the real world. Shell is not exactly a stalwart opponent of greenery but they have jumped off the bandwagon a lot faster than BP and hence their prospects look better. But generally, there is a new divide when it comes to oil majors. BP and Shell used to be in the top group. They are no more. EXXON and Chevron have created a new league, the ultra majors. Those two have never really jumped on the green energy bandwagon in a big way so their exposure to this failing market is limited. They concentrated on oil and gas and that’s what the world needs. BP and Shell are in the second leagues now.
