Of course – I understand them. They prefer guaranteed taxpayer and ratepayer extorted returns to actually working the energy markets. I would prefer that too. I mean, its hard to cut it on a free market with free agents. Renewables projects are unprofitable by design so a plethora of mechanisms has been invented to ensure they will make money. Never mind that consumers pay through the nose. Thats not BP’s concern. We shall remember when BP wants to get out of a failing renewable industry.
