Britain spending record £250m a month on electricity imports

It’s quite a business for the surrounding countries with less idiotic policies. It also happens in Germany albeit on a much greater scale. My home Austria is one of the beneficiaries as we have plenty of hydropower courtesy of the Alps and past policy makers that supported such grandiose projects. But the bounty ends as Austria has its bunch of idiotic policy makers and they have carved down Austria’s energy safety infrastructure to the point where we need our hydropower domestically. Countries that buy power such as Germany or the UK are in for harder times still.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
