Britain to Downgrade Renewables, Embrace Nuclear Power

Thats a step in the right direction, but it’s not going to help Boris now. He not only has a crisis on his hands but much more a smoldering ruin that is the British energy landscape and if he is not completely blind he must know that it will go on. The first new to build Nuclear Plants won’t come online before 10 years which means that it’s likely he won’t be the one that cuts the ribbon. The only relatively fast solution is coal and gas. Is he ready for reality yet?

In the wake of Britain’s recent catastrophic wind drought, the Boris Johnson administration appears set to embrace nuclear power as their main strategy for achieving net zero.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
