Britain’s e-bus ticking timebomb: How nearly TWO THOUSAND electric buses worth £800m face urgent recall over fears they could see burst into flames

It’s almost a decade now since I proposed exclusion zones for electric vehicles especially so in inner cities. I did not want to see any of those fire hazards close to schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and retirement homes. Needless to say, this got nowhere so far. But I am not so sure if this is going to be the future. Once an entire building is taken down because one of those vehicles burned out close to one of the structural elements of the building, usage regulations in those buildings will change. In my own Vienna, most underground parking already bans electric vehicles due to the fire hazard. There will be more of the same.
