Built solar assets are ‘chronically underperforming’ and modules degrading faster than expected, research finds
Vienna is surrounded by wind generation. We have them in nearly every direction. One day when I was hiking we stumbled over a maintenance crew and got talking. Those people were simply engineers doing their jobs and not politicians and they told what incredible maintenance hogs those wind generators were. And the constant need for massive subsidies proves it. Even when they are supposed to be written off, they still need big cash injections to continue operating. This is an exercise in value destruction.
