Butter Bad, Seed Oils Good, Says New Study

The problem with plant-based oils is not the plants or the oils themselves. It’s the intensive chemical treatment those oils receive to first take their strong tastes away and also to make them fit for whatever they are intended to. Have you tasted untreated olive oil? It has a very marked, strong taste of olives. Most people don’t like that, so it’s chemically treated to taste less like olives. So it is with pretty much all common oils. Also, oils need to be non-perishable. But natural oil will perish pretty fast, so more chemistry is added to stretch that date out into the future. As a rule, if it perishes easily, it’s healthier. Butter is a wonderful product, especially ghee. Without all the chemistry. Studies won’t change that.
