California sues oil giants, saying they downplayed climate change

California needs new cash to plug some holes in its finances. When normal measures don’t work, desperate moves become the norm. What did Exxon know? What could Exxon have known? What does the IPCC know today? Is having an opinion knowledge? Is contemplating the If’s knowledge? Is imagining something knowledge? Or a bad dream? When someone imagines something and delivers zero proof of its validity, does that make you know or does this person know? We have seen models, assumptions, and conjectures – but we have not seen proof from the IPCC. So they don’t know. Neither could Exxon or anyone else.
