Can the Public be Convinced that Electric Vehicle Subsidies are Worth it?
Subsidies for EVs are a wealth transfer from the poor masses that can’t afford one to the wealthy that have them as second or third cars. They are fundamentally unsocial and extremely unjust. We have a choice – few expensive vehicles paid for by the masses but enjoyed by a few and green virtue signaling or affordable vehicles for everyone and the certainty that we will need to adapt to whatever nature throws at us.
