Carbon Capture: Tech Giants Throw Money at the Latest Green Trend

I know one kind of person who will love this. Space enthusiasts. Carbon is surprisingly rare on the Moon and this will be our minerals base for quite a while. The Earth-Moon economy is going to be a thing long before other planets will be settled en masse. So we need a source of carbon and capturing it out of the air, conditioning it, and sending it in its concentrated form to space for use will be a business. This is not the original business case for shoving it below Earth but this one was always doomed anyhow. At least there will be fallout. Expensively bought in any case.

As tech giants race to outdo each other in the climate virtue-signaling game, the public would do well to remember that these projects often serve corporate interests far more effectively than they…
