Carbon Could Soon Reach Levels Not Seen in 56 Million Years
Its funny because even according to NASA research, there is no conclusive link between CO2 levels and warming periods in earths history. Most of the CO2 spikes were accompanied by cold periods and there rarely is a connection between warm periods and more CO2 output. Also, that’s more than 50 million years ago. We don’t have ice cores from this period which is the best method of measuring CO2 concentrations. We only have those sediments and picking them apart reliably is akin to sorting all the atoms in one human by kind. It’s a mad-hatters task.
Total human carbon dioxide emissions could match those of Earth’s last major greenhouse warming event in fewer than five generations, new research finds.
