Not many cared when things were still OK – on the surface. Trouble was brewing for many years but that was successfully masked by those responsible using every trick in the book. But using tricks and never fixing a problem makes the snowball bigger. To be honest, the problem could not be fixed by any means. the only fix would have been to radically stop it all but that would have stopped the money rain as well. They did not want that. Better drive the economy into the wall. But now people are hurt and they pay attention to economics. Not because they want but because they have to. CfDs might soon be painted as the scam they are.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
