Chevron mulls floating LNG plant near Israel to supply Asia, Europe

Israel is one of the weirdest places one can visit today. It exists despite the misgivings of a vast number of their neighbors and strategic security is a massive issue for the country as a whole. Energy supply is one of the fundamental issues and considering that Israel is an oil importer, this makes it vulnerable to boycotts and blockages. If I was a decision-maker in Israel, I would do a lot to get the country off this hook. Taking the Natural Gas produced on its soil and gasifying the country would reap much better rewards than any export business ever could.
