Children and the Insect Apocalypse
When the mind does not have real problems to deal with, it creates artificial ones. It’s a bit like the scene in The Matrix where Agent Smith tells Morpheus that the first Matrix was a blissful paradise but that people rejected it and in that, it was a failure. People cannot cope with too many good things at once. It’s when life is hard when people tend to concentrate on the things that really matter. And often, it is the moment when we find out that we have wasted our lives or a good part of it. Thats a dilemma – would we create problems intentionally to stay sharp? History is a seesaw between extremes. The pendulum swings towards destruction now – how far will we let it swing?
