China may target Australian LNG despite costly coal ban: Russell
It very much looks like China has chosen Australia to make an example. That being said, the whole world might be in for a surprise. Pain may break you, it may also make you hard, more resilient. Australia’s economy is like most developed economies a bubble built on assumptions many of which don’t hold up anymore. We have all pumped massive amounts of money that do not exist into our economies. It’s time to scale back and fix the mess. If this standoff pushes Australia towards fixing itself it will have a headstart compared to other nations. If you can’t avoid it, get on with it.
