This whole COVID thing was a great excuse for Chinese leaders for the normal underperformance of the Chinese economy. It has little to nothing to do with COVID but it’s a great scapegoat. And it will hold up for some more blaming but eventually, it will have a hollow ring to it. China’s business model is toast. It cannot go on doing what it has been doing in the past and succeed and it never had a great model, to begin with, but fooling the world has a quality of its own until it does not. China’s economy has crashed for years – now it’s going to show. No more bangs.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
