China says CO2 border tax will damage global climate change fight
And most of all it will damage China’s export prospects. China does not give two dogshits about pollution or carbon and their commitments in the Paris accord are no more than grandstanding. I am opposed to any form of carbon pricing or tax but the principle of a border tax appeals to me. Let’s forget the carbon part and factor in human rights, labor conditions, and environmental abuse plus IP theft.
