China warns of retaliation if U.S. slaps new tariffs
Just imagine the US discontinues trade with all countries and essentially limits foreign engagements to the Americas and some close allies. It will lose the sweatshop China that some other such countries but as Herny Ford proved, giving American workers more money also enables them o buy the very products they produce. There is nothing that America could not produce by itself. Not quite as cheaply as a country that gives no hoot for workers protection or the environment for sure but that will not damage the US in the long run. China’s leaders are smart enough to know this.
China will be forced to retaliate if the United States implements any new tariff measures, China’s commerce ministry warned on Thursday, as the world’s two biggest economies remain locked in an intensifying trade war.
