China’s Dec 2018 coal output up 2.1%
2018 coal imports up by 3,9% – and we are not talking about some minnow on the coal scene. China accounts for half of the coal consumption of the planet. Yes thats right, if you made two equal heaps of coal from all the coal consumed on our rock in space, one of them belongs to China and the other to the entire rest of the world combined. So, those 3,9% are quite meaningful but China is still the darling of those getting high on the Paris agreement. It’s time to look at this travesty for what its really worth.
China’s December 2018 coal output increased 2.1% from a year ago to reach 320.38 million mt or 3.84 billion mt on an annualized basis, according to official data released Monday.
