There is not only a “security of supply” risk – there is also a national security risk. China has very little in terms of Natural gas storage. And China’s geology is not very favorable to that too. So, if there is a global conflict with a peer opponent they un the risk of having their import lines cut. Coal can be heaped up in mounds. Kowing how paranoid Chia’s leadership is this must weigh on their minds.
