China’s lacklustre commodity imports throw spanner in new super-cycle works
I have a feeling that China has purchased so much in terms of commodities partly because lesser purchases would have made their communicated economic growth figures look fishy and also because they believe in the supercycle as well and reselling all this stuff when prices are higher and transformed into wares would make them a tidy profit. But the world is going into an economic pain cycle. This is not going to be over soon. Good luck with all that stuff on your hands. China would not be the first country to choke on this.
