That could be an opportunity for Australia to rekindle the entrepreneurial spirits it has neglected for so long. But that won’t be easy – because if Australia wants to attract industries, it needs to offer a country thats nice to those producing things. This means cutting the Compliance Industrial Complex down to size, streamline administration hindrances, cut away regulatory porc and not least of all, affordable and stable energy supply. Australia could be an energy powerhouse – instead, it’s looking at an entire swathe of the country blacking out and mired in high prices. Not attractive. Fixing this won’t be easy – it’s actually horribly hard. Not something run-off-the-mill slick politicians are willing to do. They need a Trump.
