How does one stop a ghost? How would Trump stop something that will never happen? Had Kamala won the presidency, the energy transition would not have had a snowball’s chance in hell to become reality. There would have been more waste on a biblical level. There would have been a lot more money printing, a lot more destruction, a lot more inflation, a lot more madness but none of this would have brought us closer to a non-carbon energy system and we should thank the Gods for it. Because net zero would not only wreck human society as it is, it would also endanger the world already struggling through CO2 scarcity.
