When it comes to extremists of any kind, you can only be sure of one thing. No matter how far you look down the barrel, there will always be some extremist that pushes the envelope much further than whoever you are looking at right now. This makes any arrangement with extremists of any kind an exercise in futility. The fundamentalists will always drag the realists further to the fringes. So what can we do? In our case, all we can do is sit and watch the whole drama unfold. Prepare for the misery those extremists will bring as misery there will be. Their fighting among themselves just means that realists have come to understand that their movement will go under if they go any further. I agree – they have peaked.
