Climate change blamed as floods overwhelm Venice, swamping basilica and squares
My first stroll in Venice is almost 40 years back now. There was moderate flooding at the time so my first experience with Venice is that this is a place where feet get wet at times. I learned that Venice gets 4 floodings like the one I saw at the time per year and that it gets a major flooding every 4 years. And that this has been true for more than 100 years. Smells like an exercise of relabeling for Climate Change absolutists.
