The upper crust of any society does not have any compassion for the needs of the averages. And it takes an incredibly short time for someone who came from humble beginnings to ditch all memories of it once this person has joined the ranks of the rich and famous. I have seen that first hand. I have seen nobodies transform into moderately successful politicians (MOP or MORP) and they dropped any compassion in less time than you need for a dump. There won’t be workable solutions from above – they could not deliver them if they wanted. But they don’t care enough anyhow.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
