Climate change: Why disinformation is so persistent
Fighting reality is like feeding a Crocodile hoping it will eat you last – but eat you it will. Much of what is being called disinformation just aligns a lot better with what happens in the real world and there will always be a portion of people that cannot be fooled quite so easily. The majorities are indeed disinterested so they can be pulled towards any narrative if only it is pervasive enough. But in times when money becomes scarce and people are at pains, in times when people lose what they have acquired over decades to crazy policies, they tend to look deeper into narratives and some make astonishing discoveries. This is a virus that won’t go away.
