Climate Hype Leads to Climate Anxiety and Undermines Constructive Efforts
A couple of years back I started to pull together all information that bI could still remember of the many different things I had done in my life. How many people do you know that have crossed North Africa on a bicycle? Or who had gone into Muslim brotherhood villages in Egypt? Or who had negotiated with African rebels? I was never fearless but I went into wartorn regions of this planet with caution and confidence. COVID had grounded me as traveling became a pain. And even I can already feel apprehensiveness from traveling crawling up my spine as a result. Isolation does this to us – nobody is invulnerable. We need to end it for our sake.
