Climate radicals fuelled Europe’s reliance on Putin’s gas. Now they want to make it worse
Does the implementation of more wind and solar energy amplify the use of Natural Gas and hence increases dependence on Russia? No doubt it does. Is this the only or even most important reason why we are dependent on Russian gas? Nope, not by a long shot. Europeans have gorged themselves on gas from the East since long, long before the current batch of green maniacs started spouting their totally unrealistic doomsday stories. That said, doing more of what made a bad problem worse does not look like the right thing to do.
