Climate scientists flee Twitter as hostility surges

Are we supposed to be surprised? Snowflakes cannot survive in a normal world. They need protection from anything they would never think of allowing for their adversaries. They are happy to terrorize anyone who confronts them and can’t take a little adversity. But as nice as it is that Twitter seems to become a more open and free place, we cannot trust that. Freedom-loving people must still work hard on making themselves and their communities independent of any big organization and build their own structures. It’s hard but nobody can be trusted.

Scientists suffering insults and mass-spam are abandoning Twitter for alternative social networks as hostile climate-change denialism surges on the platform following Elon Musk's takeover.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
