Coal Isn’t Dead. China Proves It.
And its not only China. Coal is incredibly abundant and the cheap commodity will spark some to seek ways on how to make a buck from this. Same goes for Heavy Fuel Oil after 2020. One road I can see is methaisaton whereby the coal is left in the earths crust and the seam is seeded for methanisation. Plus, better filters will give coal a much longer life. Don’t write off coal quite yet. It has a lot of life left.
Responsible for 46% of global production and 51% of global demand, China’s coal reliance is not falling nearly as fast as some like to claim.
