Coal’s Life-Saving Role Ignored By Climate-Obsessed Media

Coal is lumped together with oil and gas as fossil energy but only for coal, this is true. Its ancient plants that have pulled live giving CO2 out of the atmosphere for millions of years, piled up and got buried before they could be decomposed by organisms. Yes, the atmosphere was much CO2 richer in the past. When life was at its most spectacular in the Jurassic we had far higher CO2 counts in the air. Without CO2, this would be a lifeless barren rock. Today we living in a CO2-poor time. And we are close to the limit when plant life ceases to exist. Which means we cease to exist. We need more CO2 in the air, not less of it. Burning coal extends our own time as living things.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
