Coral recovery during a prolonged heatwave offers new hope
Some of the oldest reefs on Earth are 3 digit millions of years old. They have seen much warmer atmospheres, atmospheres with much higher CO2 than today, and also quite a bit lower CO2 and/or colder temperatures. They have done just fine during all those massive changes. Corals react to changes in their environment – it’s called adaption. All life has done that since life exists. It’s called evolution stupid.
